When it is active i can receive the packet mode sig!

Hello Kenneth!

I have test to receice the PCSat2 and when it is active and stations make contacts
with the satellite i have receive the signals in the packet mode. I can receive it good.
Now, i have a question to you: I will also vote but it is ok, when i vote yes, if i only
can receive the signals. Because by the voting there is nothing the option for rx the satellite.

Kenneth, i wish you a nice weekend and today the ISS by the passes packet mode was on air,
and the signal was strong over my QTH.

Nice weekend to all and 73de SWL-CHMY, Christian.

PCSAT2 Digipeats

I have digipeated on many passes when I was the only one on.

The signal strength changes quite a bit during a pass. I assume it is from shading by the ISS structure.

On top

PCSAT2 was mounted near the top of the solar array central truss so it has significant blockage from the ISS structure below. The transmitter for PCSAT2 is only 2 watts compared to the normal 10 watts that the Kenwood D700 ouputs.

On almost every pass I first relay some packet trough ISS then switch to PCSAT2 that on my dual band Jpole begins to be heard a little afterwards. Doppler correction is needed, normally when I get it is on 435.270 then in the middle of the pass 435.265 and normally ends 435.260. Very few active on it so I almost get reply to any packet. Lately no Igate for PCSAT2 over europe, sorry my "radio" PC is not connected to the internet...

PCSAT2 frequencies

For those that have not tried, the uplink is 145.825 and the downlink is 435.275 (with Doppler). PCSAT2 supports both 1200 and 9600 baud packet operations.

Hi Kenneth, so far i think

Hi Kenneth, so far i think i was the only one to say "no" in the poll. I had tried some time ago and had no luck recieving the downlink (uhf) but, today when i read the poll , it got me to thinking about it again. so my new results are... still weak on downlink but thats due to ant./ space restrictions however the website says the system did hear my station today so thats cool.
Thanks for all your work !
