More messages, copied Tuesday (4 July)

Just after the Tanyusha 1 satellite was activated, the ISS passed over the western USA around 1919 UTC Tuesday (4 July). It was a high pass, and I was able to copy 3 of the 4 message. I recorded the messages in Chinese, Russian, and then English, missing only the Spanish message. My recording of that pass, along with smaller clips with each message and the satellite's ID ("Romeo Sierra Six Sierra") are available at:

(look in the folder "20170704-ISS_on_145.800_MHz")

During a pass just before 1200 UTC today, there was nothing heard from the satellite on 145.800 MHz. The packet digipeater remained operational on 145.825 MHz, even while the satellite's transmissions were being relayed on 145.800 MHz.

Re: More messages

Hi Patrick

Your recordings are very good and fully quietening. At 09:05 UTC all that was heard sounded like RFI breakthrough the whole pass and could faintly hear station calling through the noise but unable to make out the callsign. The 2 earlier passes were ok as the space station ascended overhead then went into loud pager like noise when moving away. I'm sure RFI is getting into the system from the ISS somewhere.
