Hi guys!

I was called ISS today, operator Bob, on 14246khz at 0240GMT. I was told the hight is 47000 feet and the callsign is exactly "ISS" - International Space Station. The operator had been on my QRG for at least 5 min and he had the sound and the strength of the signal like /am station. I wonder if somebody else worked this ISS call or not? Did I work UFO ISS? ))

ISS callsigns

You likely heard one of the many ground stations that have "ISS" in their callsign. The International space station does not have any HF gear so it was not RS0ISS.

Hi, I do understand it is

I do understand it is almost 100% pirate jock operation, but some times we are not aware of some kind of staff around))
47000 feet up position is not a common hight for regular amateur radio operation!

Re: ISS on 20m

Hello Valery,

Nice science fiction story (write a book).
What do you think what will happen with the solar panels if the ISS was at
the hight of an airplane?
Trie to get 2 radio,s an Erricson VHF handheld and a VHF & UHF Kenwood TM-D700.
Trie to let those radios (same as in ISS) operate on 14Mhz.
Now I hope the alarm of your clock will wake you up.
