How to submit news to the IFC website

Space News

Hello Fans!

The main goal of our community is to report news to each other so we encourage you to post as much news as you can.

Reporting a news is very simple and does not require any particular skill.

You just have to click on the "Submit News" link located at the top of the page and fill the required fields. They are:

TOPIC: here you select a topic for your article. There are many, just pick the one you think is more appropriate.

TITLE: here goes your title. It must be brief and descriptive.

STORY TEXT: Here goes the part of text wich will be visible on the mainpage. You should not write too much here, or your column will be too long.

EXTENDED TEXT: Here goes the rest (if any) of your text.

The only thing you have to care about when you report something is the Copyright issue. Unless explicitly mentioned, every article is protected by international copyright law.

Generally, the copyright is always applied even if the author did not mention applying for it.

That means you cannot simply copy & paste the article into our website.

Fortunately there is an easy workaround for this problem. You can comment the article, even repeating some of the same things that the original article said and then add a link.

That is perfectly legal, and that is what bigger sites continuosly do.

We hope to see new posters in 2003 and we thank who already posted here during 2002.

Best 73's and whises for a Happy New Year,

the ISS Fan Club Staff.
