Observing ISS
An amazing ISS pass
Tonight's ISS pass was amazing - mag. -3.5 and almost directly overhead. The first image here is the beginning of the pass with the station brightening up and flying over the silhouette of the house. The second is maximum altitude with the ISS shining at its brightest. I'm really pleased with these images, especially since they were taken with a compact camera!

Second Object in orbit
We've been spotting a second object in same path as ISS about 2-3 min ahead. Wondering if anyone else has seen this too...or may know what it could be. -Derek
Slow Scan T.V.
Hello,
some time ago I recorded an interview between teachers and sixth grade teachers. I had dreamt of makeing a video out of it, but didn't see how. Where am I going to get pictures of astronauts in space to go with the audio? Then I heard about this site. Is it ok to copy the pictures for my own personal use?
Video showing ISS fly-over the Netherlands (Europe)
This video shows the ISS passing over the Netherlands (Europe) as a bright,
moving star. You hear bursts of digital communication (APRS) and see them decoded on screen.
Featured in the HD movie are the following radio-amateurs:
LA4FPA, G6HMS, IW9FRA, ON7DS, YO8RBY, PA3GUO, OE1CWJ, UA1CAS and SP9TTX.
Enjoy !
Henk, PA3GUO
ps: this video nicely demonstrates APRS as an efficient communication technology
New ISS Fanatic in Washington State
Can anyone recommend a better way for me to see the ISS flyovers? I have a compass and binoculars. I am loving the search and any information would be greatly appreciated.
Third object in orbit with ISS / STS127?
No, this is not a UFO sighting, but it is my first post!
I was viewing an ISS pass tonight with a couple friends when we noticed a third (in addition to the ISS / shuttle complex) object pass in precisely the same orbit. I checked my regular tracking site (heavens_above) and saw nothing. Then I noticed that the Russians launched a cargo vessel this morning.
Could I have seen this object pass in orbit? Whatever it was, it was a beautiful sight!
Tracking out of sync in London
It seems that this website's tracking is approximately 30 minutes more or less behind the Nasa website, I also have a starry night programme that agrees with Nasa. Could whomever keeps this website up to date look into this. I live in London, United Kingdom, is it correct everywhere else? Many thanks, Lolalapucelana
TWISST the ISS on Twitter
Because the ISS can be viewed very clearly in June/July with the naked eye, a Dutch journalist and a Dutch astronomer have started a service on twitter to let people know when the ISS passes over their location.

Got a visual tonight..
Tonight we went out to the backyard and watched the space station fly over. Nothing heard on the radio. I can't wait until they get things fired up again.
