for a week or so.
Is he using 145.800 simplex.?
I have been using 145.800 down 144.490 up
tonight I heard Col. Wheelock respond to a truck passing
my location on a highway and using 145.800 up

I ve'got two logged contacts with NA1SS (Wheelock and Creamer) my first contact was in april i used only 2,5 watts output power (it was a beatiful day,no clouds) my second contact was with wheelock in agust then i used 5 watts output power.

how many watts do you guys use when you try to contact NA1SS ?

Hi Everyone,

I just joined ISSFC today and wanted to voice my appreciation for the site. A couple of weeks ago, I watched the ISS transit overhead at my QTH FN20ux on 3 different evenings. The first 2 nights, I heard Col Wheelock on 145.8 but on the third night I heard nothing, and it was on that third evening when I tried to make contact.

The same thing happened tonight as ISS transited at 21:07 L. Nothing heard at all on 145.8. I tried to make contact but no luck.

I tried to make contact for the duration of the pass
but the combination of a low pass and using a vertical
made it a none starter. Until next time!!

I made my first ever contact during that time with the ISS I got part of it recorded. When the Col responded to me i was a bit aw struck and forgot to hit record on my radio. I do have the Col spelling out my call and saying contgrats from ISS good contact, then me signing off. It works but i would love to have the whole conversation if possible.
