BBS Setup (Receive Only)
Hi group- I need advice on setting up my BBS system. I want to receive BBS exchanges but not necessarily transmit. I acknowledge the problems with tying up the system for other users.
Do I need a TNC or will AGWPE-Pro be okay? Is the BBS option inside UISS sufficient to send BBS Messages?
Sorry for the basic questions; I can send and receive APRS traffic okay, but time now to expand my system capabilities.
Thanks in advance,
dave

Newbee to ISS packet - Taking suggestions
Hello to all. I am new to packet radio, and I've been trying to learn how the ISS works.
I spent the weekend logging in to my own box, and I was pretty good at it, but I've found that the ISS is way too busy for me to attempt that right now.
I read a few sites on how to do the UNPROTO to ARISS, and so I tried that out, today.

What happened to VHF packet on 145.825?
Is the new crew going to be using VHF packet again on 145.825 or staying on UHF? My setup is primarily designed for the 2 meter work and beacons. There has not been much VHF activity heard over the Eastern US lately.

APRS Tracking via ISS Fan Club link
Last dates of the live APRS Tracking selection on this web page was back in September!
Is this selection no longer valid?

packet 145.825
Can anyone tell me if the Kenwood in the service module is still operating the digipeater on 145.825 or is it going to be turned off indefinitely

UHF packet on ISS active
I have heard and successfully digipeated via the UHF packet system on 437.55 (mind the Doppler) using the path of RS0ISS the past two days (Sep 12-13) using just a D7 and stock antenna. Beacon appears to be set for every 2 minutes. The signal was very weak and I had the squelch open.
Anybody else able to use the ISS digipeater on this frequency? Maybe using something with more gain?
