ISS contact with VHF local repeater

Hi ISS Fan Club members,

I like to asking you all, can or not if we request to ISS crews to tune their radio up there to our VHF Local repeater? I think it is very nice to talk with ISS crews with local VHF Repeater.

If can, to whom should we apply this contacts?

Thanks you

Not practical

Having the ISS try to access a local repeater is not practical since it would activate all other repeaters on the pair in view at the same time. The ISS crew would also be hearing all other conversations on the output frequency making it difficult to hear just you. This is why the ISS has an assigned uplink and downlink pair.
