Newbie with scanner.
Hi all,
I am completely new to radio contact of any kind, and I want to know if I can listen to transmissions from the ISS with my portable scanner? I have tuned all the frequencies from the page on this site, but I want to know if I need any other equipment to hear transmissions.

Hi, welcome to the group.
You should be able to pick up transmissions with your scanner using the built in antenna if you are outdoors.
If you can try and set up an external antenna - a ham dual band 2m/70cms antenna with good quality coax would certainly help.
