Current misconfiguration
Seems someone on the ISS activated the TNC but left the radio in the ITU region 2&3 voice configuration. I would suggest that the packet folks not utilize the voice uplink for packet as it will cause interference to that uplink and discourage the crew from wanting to listen for calls. Be patient and wait until the packet operations return to their normal 145.825 simplex frequency. There are 2 school contacts scheduled for tomorrow (April 01) so the radio should change operations after each one of those sessions.

Back on packet as of 1 April, 2330z
Last pass for us today, and just gone over, sending out packet ID.
Alas, can't play x band repeat.
Never mind

Russian test
Seems recently when they have a Russian crew member scheduled to do a ham pass, this problem shows up.

wrong config
Sorry Ken for letting the cat out of the bag, once I know the uplink I started to call CQ NA1SS in hopes that someone aboard would hear me and I could let them know that the APRS/PKT bcon is on the voice channel.
No problem
Not a biggie. The system should not have been configured that way and I just wanted to avoid getting any automatic digital systems on the voice uplink. Once they show up, it can take a while to get them off.
Typically, the crew turns the volume down when the radio is in packet operations.
