Probably the old bbs messages are gone after the radio
has been off for a few days.

RS0ISS-11 PACKET MAILBOX
Only the "L" command lists all messages (i.e. also messages to individual stations). The "F" (and "R"?) command shows only the messages addressed to "ALL".

I used the L command .... but there was only 7 messages.

Yes and that is why I made the comment that the old bbs
message where gone (see above!).
Somethimes it happen if the ISS kenwood is off for a few days
the messages are erased.
Also when the bbs is full (no free bytes) it will erase automatic and
is empty.
Keep in mind the ISS packet system does not use a computer
with a harddisc.
The ISS kenwood has a flash chip inside with limited capicity.

Yes, your observation is right. The ISS PMS Never keeps many messages.
