ISS Fan Club

Hello,

I have asked an Korean ham friend which is involved in
some activities.
He tought Yi has not much time to operate, but school
contacts where planned (like Kenneth mentioned).
Keep your radio tuned on the ISS voice freq. when packet
is not active! (you never know if she show up).
If I receive some news from Korea I will post here or
on my website.

Hello Matt,

If you look to my subtitle you could see:
Yi So-Yeon (DS3SYL).
Kim HL2JFM told me:
>Her private callsign is DS3SYL
>(abbr. Space Young Lady or her name So Yeon Lee, Hi!).
>however special callsign(HL0ARISS) will be used in ISS during school contact.

Not sure if the HL0ARISS is arranged yet (good question for Kenneth).

She will use special callsign "HL0ARISS" for the school contacts. I guess she will use the same for any general contacts she may make.

I had wondered if she would use a special call for her time on the ISS, and now I know! We'll be listening from Coloma Junior High School in Michigan!

A friendly hello!

On the 12. April 2008 at 16:44 UTC the ISS have the pass
over Europe, no signal at the amteur radio downlink frequency but
i receive at 143.625 MHZ the voice from Miss Yi So-yeon.
