For new ISSFC users - Tracking

N7SIJ – February 21, 2008 – 20:23

Newbies to this site, Do not expect the tracking on this site to be accurate.
You will need to find another resource. (use NASA or AMSAT) The tracking module here has been struggling to even come close for quite some time.

Satellite Tracking Program

Here is a great Sat Tracking Program, Orbitron. I have it on my laptop for use in acquiring the AMSATs when I'm in the field. It needs to have the Keplerian data updated every week or two. Also, your computer's clock must be accurate. When you go online Orbitron makes both of these processes simple.

Orbitron 3.71 can be found at http://www.stoff.pl/

It is Cardware . . . which means it is free, but the programmer would appreciate if you could mail him a postcard from your town. Not a bad deal.
