DOES WA3NAN STILL RE TRANSMIT AUDIO FROM SHUTTLE MISSIONS?

kb0zuu – February 8, 2008 – 00:03

The title sums up the question

I went to their homepage http://garc.gsfc.nasa.gov/

and check the faqs and frequencies used to retransmit, but it doesnt look like it's been updated in a while. it says " The next Space Shuttle mission is planned to be STS-120, Discovery. Launch is targeted for October 23, 2007." ---- LOL

so just curious if they still do retansmissions or not anymore.

thanks ---

Volunteers

My understanding is the Goddard ARC does it when they have enough interest and volunteers to man the station during a mission. Unfortunately, that is not as often as it use to be and with NASA audio available on Echolink and the internet, the demand for HF transmissions may be perceived as not being as much.
