What is exactly the International Space Agency?

The ISS is in big trouble, as the Russian Computers that control the ISS orbital stabalization are down.
Also the Shuttle has a tear in the upper heat shield.
Any info on the ham radios globally about this?
The United States Media is more concerned with garbage news and propaganda, then REAL news of
any merit, so the problems on ISS are not being covered!
We at the ISA Global Team are wondering what the chatter is?

The Russian computer issue is a concern but keep in mind that attitude of the ISS can be maintained by th CMGs system in the US segment and also by the shuttle systems while it is docked. Engineers are investingating and the crew is in no danger.

The minor tear of a thermal blanket above one of the ohms pods is scheduled for repair during today's spacewalk. The Shuttle could re-enter with the tear as is since the area is not a direct friction point during re-entry. Repairing it is to minimize the damage to the blanket and reduce the turn around time for Atlantis' next mission.

The International Space Agency (ISA) Organization, had its start way back in 1986. Since 1986 the ISA Organization has grown very very slowly under stiff resistance by some very very powerful folks, with a very very narrow agenda for the Human Space Effort! :-(

In 1990 the International Space Agency was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in New York State. Since 1990, the ISA Organization has been seeking to gain International Treaty Status, so that the ISA Organization can better achieve its goals and mission in a true international context and treaty framework.

The International Space Agency has also been involved in great battle against the United States Government, and NASA, which have tried to stop the ISA Organization from attaining its Registered Trademark, and rightful use of the International Space Agency (ISA) name and public identity. This legal war was won in 2006, when the International Space Agency was granted its Federal Trademark in June of 2006.

In a nutshell, the International Space Agency is to act as an enabler of International (Multi-National) Space Activities and Endeavors outside the "National Domain" and Capability. Like International Lunar Bases and Mars Missions, and such. It is also to act like a bridge between Government, Commercial, Scientific, Academic, and Private Enterprises, Organizations, and Persons in an International (Global) Context.

The International Space Station (ISS), is a good step towards what the International Space Agency (ISA) has been working on in a broader global context since 1986.

However, in reality, the International Space Station (ISS) is really not a "true" International Space Station! In reality, ISS is an "American Space Station", that the USA has allowed other nations to participate in, as we see fit, and as to advance the USA National space agenda and goals. It is not new or unknown news, that Russia and ESA member states are thinking about pulling out of ISS and starting their own Space Station with China. This, as many of the ISS members, have been "frustrated" at the USAs overzealous micromanagement and control of the ISS for its own narrow agendas and purposes.

The International Space Agency hopes to improve these longtime bad relations and feelings, by creating a "TRUE" international management, operations, and quality control team that could provide the central administrative core to Human Space Projects of the scale and scope of the International Space Station (ISS), and others beyond ISS, like a International Lunar Base and International Missions to Mars, and one day and International Base on Mars. Such projects are truly outside the National Domain or ability.

This is what the International Space Agency (ISA) Organization has been working towards since 1986!

This historic and noble journey has been painfully slow, full of political pot holes and landmines, and "sadly" manipulated and undermined by the 500 pound guerillas of the day, bent on National control of space for narrow and hostile intentions and agendas.

The International Space Agency (ISA) presently is very small in numbers and operates on very limited resources and support. This against Governments like the United States and National Space Agencies like NASA, which have many thousands of dedicated people, and billions in deep pocket tax payer funds, at their disposal. A David and Goliath battle for sure. The International Space Agency (ISA) may be the underdog, but we are a dedicated group of professionals, working towards an important and noble cause.

Any simple Internet search will turn up years and years, and layers and layers, of massive false propaganda and malicious information about the International Space Agency (ISA), its Efforts, and its People. Many of these activities have been state sanctioned attacks on the ISA Organization and its People, by paid agents of the United States Government!

This is why the National Governments need to be curtailed and controlled, if Humanity is to ever get into Space in any meaningful way of scope or scale. The International Space Agency (ISA) Organization offers this hope for a peaceful future for humanity in Space.
