Hi, I would like to know if there are on bord of ISS the usualy Fortis Official Cosmonauts 38mm. watches for testing. If so could someone tell about the sapphire glass partculary watches of these watches, how thick is the sapphire glass of these watches to survive in space and under water 200M. ?
Some people say 1,2mm., other people say 2,00mm. and others say 2,70-3,00mm..
Can you belive that no one say it right?
Thank you,
I hope that ISS and all crew go well.

I am not a watch expert but I dont understand why the glass should be thicker than usual.
The pressurized environment of the ISS requires no special glasses...

I own one of these watches. The b-42. While I don't know how thick the glass is, I'm sure that if it can resist the pressure at 160ft underwater, it can take just about anything that outer space can throw at it. I am an active diver and have had the watch to 160+ feet with no problems. They are great watches.
