How to receive ISS video ?
Hi,
In theory, as ISS is quite low on orbit, and if the TDRS linked satellite is over my country (data easy to get using a software like Thesky or any other tracking software à la Orbitron), using a small parabolic antenna or even a dipole, should it be possible to get their video signal ?
According some users, due to the TDRS I ccould get it, even if it was not encrypted.
In fact i don't udnerstand why I could at least receive it as I can receive military and other "private" messages using a scanner or another V/UFH rig for example.
By the way do you know the frequencies on which i they transmit their video signal ?
Thanks for your comments

Thierry,
receiving TDRSS is not trivial. You need very good microwave skills and exotic equipment.
Anyway you are asking your question to the wrong people. We are all into Amateur ISS comms. Not the rest.
If you care about the rest you should check out this site:

In their chat room you will find many gurus who will answer all your questions.
If you like monitoring satellites, those fellows will impress you.

I not real certain on this but I think ISS video is transmitted around 15 GHz.
