Advice needed
Hi fellow iss fan,s I have held my uk foundation licence for just over a year
I have and still do love working HF QRP.
I now am looking to expand my horizon and start to work the many Amateur radio satellites
I have two transceivers I can use the first is the very sort after Yaesu FT-847 EarthStation.
And my second transceiver is the new Yaesu FTM350. I have already put this to some use having made a few confirmed contacts Via The RS0ISS APRS Message Board system.
I was so pleased with my first APRS contacts more so when I received Eqsl card confirmation.
My antennas are nothing special as I lack the garden space for a trackable beam antenna system. My antennas are a Watson W2000 tri band colinier this is what I used for my APRS contacts with the ISS. I am in the middle of building an EggBeater antenna for 2m.
I am also building an Arrow type antenna. For portable satellite working.
How do I go about making a voice contact Via the ISS.
My main transceiver I will be using the Yaesu FTM-350 as I prefer using this Transceiver
As I am putting my Yaesu FT847 up for sale and buying a second FTM350 to fit in the car permanently. And keeping an arrow antenna in the boot.
My location is near Heathrow Airport in the united kingdom
Any advice would be a great help
